Visiting Plaka Forest

The Plaka forest of Kos is a green, cool and wonderful spot where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of Kos city center. It's situated near the village Antimachia on the way to Kefalos. The plaka forest has many paths for endless walks and it's full of pine trees - so no matter how long your walk is, you will be surrounded by nature!

The Plaka Forest is a wonderful spot for relaxation, and it's full of friendly animals. It has clean water from a spring and paths to walk on forever! The sound of nature will enchant you while the benches enable resting or eating picnic food at this great place for family fun time with children in particular enjoying themselves here as well.

Near Plaka forest, Antimachia a traditional village!

Antimachia village is a small traditional town with picturesque neighborhoods, old houses, and enchanting landscapes. It has been known for its musical tradition where people used to gather in squares at nighttime playing instruments while they sing local tunes. There are many locals who have started building their country homes here as it's peaceful compared to the crowded streets of Kos town near the airport now.

Antimachia Castle

The Castle of Antimachia in Kos is a historic castle overlooking the village of Antimachia. It was built by the Knights Hospitaller (also known as The Order of Saint John) around 1400, and further construction took place at its most intense near 1494 when you can see an inscription above its main gate.
